No Pictures...Just Memories

I must admit, that I have been a lazy blogger this summer.  If it wasn't for Crystal, we would hardly have anything entered into "Life on the Lake".  Thanks to our wonderful daughter-in-law for keeping us up on the fun that we have had this summer.  I will try harder because I know that if I don't, important memories will be forgotten.  Let's see what I can remember some of those things right now....

1.  Of course, Jake and Luke's exciting entrance to the fam (just did a blog entry on that.)
2.  Paddy's many amazing, completed, perfectly executed wake board flips for the first time THIS summer with the new boat.
3.  Crystal wake boarding also!
4.  Dad says, "Fishing was for crap!"
5.  Lily learns how to ride her bike without training wheels.
6.  Grammy Camp with the zoo, Toledo Museum and private tour.
7.  Jackson masters driving the Gator and charms the family with his love.
8.  Layla decides that she doesn't want to be called, "Miss Bossypants" and informs all of her list of foods that she likes.  (about 11 things)
9.  Joey executes his ninja warrior routine and takes swimming lessons with Grammy.
10. Logan continues to make me laugh and counts to 10 in Spanish.
11. Jeremy is a baby whisperer with the twins.
12. Molly is amazing with her long ordeal this summer.  She and Jeremy juggle 5 children with courage!
13.  Sarah loves her nieces and nephews with all of her heart.

Let me know if you can think of anything that you remember, feel free to add.

Twice the Blessings!

Summer 2013 was a bit exciting because we all were awaiting the arrivals of 2 baby Stewarts.  Molly was almost immobile, but she put on a brave face and kept those babes in the oven for a full 38 weeks.
Here she is with Lily on the day she enters the hospital.

July 29th

Jeremy was working mom and dad roles, while Molly did her best to help those darling babes grow!
She and Jeremy enter U of M on the 29th of July.  She labors with help for over 24 hours.  Great nurses who give her lots of support are constantly by her side.

On July 30th, around 11:30 pm Jake Jeremy joins the family.  On July 31st, Luke James enters the world minutes after midnight.  Molly is wheeled back to the room absolutely glowing, with Jeremy by her side.
She was an absolute Rock Star as she amazes everyone pushing out both babes!
The nurses and doctors claim that she is the talk of the maternity floor with her strength and courage.  Yea, Moll!

Jake is 8 pounds 3 ounces and Luke weighs in at 7 pounds 10 ounces...really big boys.  Thatsa lotta babies to be carrying!  Grammy and Grampy are so happy and feeling blessed.

Joey is overexcited to see his baby bros.  Cheerios come in at a close second.

G

Paige and the family come visit at the hospital.  It makes for a very crowded room.

Lily snuggles with her baby bro.

Jake has a certain look..we think he looks like his daddy.

Grampy tells Joey to be a good example to his little brothers and teach them all that he knows.  That may end up being a little scarey.

The twins are just happy to have arrived.  Healthy and Happy!!!

More July

Here's another round of the fun things we were doing up north...

We went to Bellaire and checked out the smokehouse.
Patrick loaded up on jerky.

This is the new malibu dealer that's on Walloon Lake and we are OBSESSED with the food.

I love their pizza!

Then one night after dinner we drove down to the marina where Grampy's boat is at and surprised him.
It was a week or two from his birthday, so he wasn't expecting this, and we all walked down to his boat to show him the big surprise!

We began singing "Happy Birthday" and he was just so confused.
Grammy had his boat painted with "My Boat" on the side.
He didn't even see if at first, and then he finally did.
He was beyond shocked!

I found these dirty, stinky carts and the boys wanted to take them for a spin!

A trip to Friske's for their phenomenal cherry donuts......
'nuff said.

Jackson wanted to have a sit down breakfast at Friske's so we ordered a few different things and HOLY COW was the food amazing!
Definitely going back!

We played for just a short time and then the rain came.

We went back to Shorts and while we were waiting for our food, Logan was in the corner swinging on the rails.
He is such a monkey.

The Landing has new ownership and boy is it ever cute!
They did a wonderful job on the cute signs!

The many faces of Logan.

Goodbye Cottage, we're off to go home.

Looks like staying a bit longer than anticipated worked for the boys, they both took naps on the way home!

July at the Cottage

We were able to come up to the cottage a few times in July and the boys loved all the sunshine and playing in the water.

Patrick did a lot of wakeboarding.

We watched Patrick and enjoyed the boat ride.

Paddy enjoyed spending time driving the new boat!

Logan thought this would be a fun new way to see everything.

We were driving through the channel heading out to the big lake and then all of a sudden we see the Coast Guard.
No more than a few seconds later we were getting pulled over from them.
We all kinda freaked, but Jackson thought it was way cool.

One of the guys hopped right into the boat and Patrick was beginning to sweat because we didn't have the registration with us, and we were missing some things that needed to be in the boat.

They were really friendly, even gave the boys whistles, and then went off on their way.

Driving around on the lake and Jackson being so naturally happy.

We found a new game to play and had a fun night doing that!

We had a lot of water fun shooting each other with the water guns.

Jackson thought it was HILARIOUS.

Then Jackson asked for a jet ski ride.

It was a really hot day and I just had to jump in the lake.

That night we went to a new restaurant. It was delicious and we hope to go back again.

We had a cool little outdoor table just big enough for us to fit.

Logan was being a stud on the boat with his shades.

and then he thought he would be goofy by wearing them like this.

The Landing has a new menu and we are over the moon about it.

Hot stuff on the beach.

You know me...gotta get a little silly!

Jackson wanted to do it too, so his Dad jumped with him!

lots of times!

then it was our turn!

After swimming.

Fishing and Logan didn't get the memo that he had to be quiet.

We had lots of success with catching fish and Jackson was in such a great mood.

Another Fish On!

We had to go check out our newest favorite restaurant at least one more time on Walloon Lake.

and then we had to go back the last night to the landing...their new hush puppies are just THAT good.

Then we were all packed up and ready to go, but the weather was JUST. TOO. GREAT. so we ended up going out of the boat and staying for the majority of the day!

We were loving the boat ride!

Patrick was doing some great wakeboarding tricks!

and I even hopped in and went a round at it!
I got right up, didn't stay up for too long, but it felt so good to try and Jackson was cheering me on the whole time!

The boys cheered and wanted to go swimming after that!

Then jet ski rides with the boys!

We {{LOVE}} summer!
