Last Hurrah Labor Day weekend

The end of summer... :(   Stewarts were with us at the codge.  The weather was absolutely perfect.
Oops, forgot to add these to the previous post.  Jackson and Logan havin' fun with Grampy!

Miss Sarah got highlights.  Must say...I am getting pretty good at this.  Her hair looked great!

Labor Day vacay you take it easy.  Layla seems agree.  Joey is thinkin' bout what he can get into next.

Lily began her weekend being sick, but, quickly recovered.  We celebrated Molly and Sarah's birthday.

Molly made a scrumptious cake for her sissy.  Sarah appreciated every bite of chocolate!

Sarah donning her new hat and jacket from her baby sister.  Lookin' good!!!

Joey just thought that everything was funny!

Lily and Layla like the new floor puzzle too.

Lotsa beach time with the purrrrrfect weather!

Layla with "Foxy" on the beach.

Sarah got a new tennis racket for her birthday.  She has been partners with Charlton at school.

The tennis pro in action.

The weekend by way too quickly.  Moll and J went home on Sunday to beat the traffic and get Lily rested up for her first day of 1st grade!!!  Sarah flies back to school on Wed. and we leave for Europe on the 13th.  Couldn't be more exited!!!!

P.S. Oh...forgot one item of interest.  Miss Sarah stepped out of her box.  While we were tubing with Lily, Sarah decided that she wanted to go, too!   Well, only problem was that she was in her pants and T shirt.  We didn't have time to go back and change into her bathing suit, so....off came the pants and Miss Mokey went tubing in her underwear and Tshirt.  WooHoo.  She was scared at first, but, stuck with it and went tubing all by herself!  Yay, Mokers!!!!  Only problem was that we didn't take a picture.   Booooohoooo.

What fun in the sun with P, C, J, and L!!!!

Paddy, Crystal, Jackson, and Logan came up to the lake the week before Labor Day week.  We were outside the whole time.  We did so many things and I don't have too many pics because I had Crystal...the PHOTO PRO... Hope that you will add some of those amazing pics of Paddy kiteboarding and wakeboarding.  They were the best!!!

At the train park across from Murrays...

Crystal chillin'

Logan with his famous hugs...love those squeezes!!!

We had a terrible break out of hornets and we called, Lynn, from Blossom Pest Control, to blast them out from the outside.
Jackson was so helpful finding the dead ones and having me vacuum them up!
He could spot one from a good distance.  What an eye!

Lynn was a really nice guy and he almost lost his footing when the ladder slipped.  The one time Terry wasn't holding it.
Luckily, the railing stopped the ladder from going the whole way off the porch!
He sprayed the hole 3 times with boric acid powder and duct taped the hole from the inside.  The pests were gone the next day!

We left one day to go to Traverse City and scope out the stores and "Pirates Cove".

We first ate a fun restaurant, which I can't remember the name of, and Jackson was lovin' his mom.

Grammy and Grampy were enjoying the company and food.

After shopping, we went to Pirates Cove, Crystal and Jackson tried out the go carts.  Crystal was pumped, and Jackson was skeptical, at first....
But, after a bit, he was diggin' every minute.  "Faster, mommy, faster!!!"

 Logan watched with awe.

Then...the bumper boats!  Who was more excited?  Paddy or Grampy????

Paddy pursued father and son the whole time and Jackson had a big laugh!

Water slide was next for Mommy and Jackson.
Sheer happiness!

At home, we got a cool floor puzzle that Jackson LOVED.  He put it together about five times.  The first time with Grammy and the rest of the times by himself.

He also loved the train at the park.  LOVES trains!

Last but not least...Crystal took this amazing picture of Paddy kiteboarding.  He is amazing and so is Crystal for catching this.  It is entitled...Lotsa Air on Lake Michigan.

All in all, it was so much fun!  I just wish that I had taken more pictures.

You say it's your birthday!

August 2nd,  Joe's birthday...

We played a game with jelly bellies and you got to pick from 2 look alikes.  One was yummy, the other yucky.  Can you tell which one Moll got?

Lily got really lucky with her choices.

Not so much with Molly...

J-Man seemed to pick the correct ones...or he just hid his distaste.  Who knows?

Good food, fun, presents, and family.  We terribly missed Paddy, Crystal, Jackson, Logan, and Sarah.

Stewarts and Galls...before the move 2012

So...around the end of July and the beginning of August we went up to the lake.
Moll, J-Man, and kiddos were living up at the cottage.  They had their house on the market and were busy looking for a job.  We came up and had us a bunch of fun!
Joey is interested in anything that drives, works, makes noise, moves, etc.  He loves his little 4 wheeler and had much fun riding it into a dead end...and making the bush dead too.  :)

Mr. Snow brought over his "girls".  Lily loves dogs more than anything.  She is pretty darn happy holding this bundle of love.

Molly had moments of sheer exhaustion (and I don't blame her)  These wonderful and energetic kids can make a mom very tired.

Lily and Grammy were into puzzles and Lily found the last needed piece to finish her masterpiece!

J-Man and Joey took a ride on Sarah's cool 3 wheeler with...

Lily and Layla in the back!

Molly finds something to do with her moments of leisure...

And Layla gets a kick out of "Monkey Face Mommy".

We go out for a dip by Holy Island and Lily makes a leap!

Grammy, Joey, and Lily havin' a blast in the H20!

Joey doesn't look to happy, however, he did enjoy it.
Actually, he rather liked driving the boat with Grampy...he was naked as a Jaybird...Joey-not Grampy.

On Saturday, Boyne City has Farmers' Market and this time their was a dog show.
Lily was nutzo in the cabuttzo.  This the hotdog race.  Some of the crowd was a bit over excited.  And I don't mean the dogs.   And let me tell you...that thing about dogs looking like their owners.  It is SOOOO true.  (Wish I had some pics of that!)

Lily tried her hand at some of the dog games.

Joey found the playground way more cool!

Went to Marty's, East Jordan's Dairy Queen, and Layla partook of the vanilla cone.
Yum!

Lily was just happy to have been to the dog show with her dog shirt on!

At Marty's, they give out free cones to all of the Glendora's in the area.  How generous!!!

We end most days with rub a dub dub-  3 Stewart kids in a tub!

Galls called and stopped by for a couple of really fun days.  We went all over Petoskey, Charlevoix, and Indian River.  Here we are at Terrace Inn, after we pretended we were scoping out the place for a reunion.  We got to see many of the bedrooms and how they were decorated in different old fashioned decor.  Fun!

Terry and Ed's favorite was the candy store in Indian River.  Many thought that they were twins.  Do you see it?  Just one guy lookin' in the mirror at the other.  Right?

Such a fun visit with both families...and that's
LIFE ON THE LAKE!
