Memorial Day Weekend

So, dad and I came up here for the weekend to put the boats and jet skis in the water and made a discovery... (which you will find out later) We put the jet skis in the water and the plan was for me to cross the lake, wait for dad to cross over too, and then drive the extra car over to the boat launch and pick up the other car with the trailor.

Well, I drove the jet ski (without a life jacket because we had forgotten to throw those in and the water was freezing!) to the cottage and waited...and waited...and waited, and then thought that he couldn't be chatting that long and maybe something might be wrong. I jumped on the jet ski (now with a life jacket for each of us) and drove back to check it out and there dad was...bailing out the jet ski because he hadn't put in the plug. The funny thing is when we finally got back to the cottage, and lifted up the jet skis, he noticed there was not one plug...but 2. No wonder it was so hard to bail out. The water was rushing in one hole while he was bailing out the water from the second hole...and I had been driving around with one plug out, also!
